Annual Kids’ Games 2025
What a day at Kezar Stadium!
Our Annual Kids’ Games, hosted in partnership with the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department, was a huge success! Over 700 kids came out to participate in 50m and 100m heats — with smiles on their faces and laughter in the air, it was a day full of energy, excitement, and community.
A huge THANK YOU to San Francisco Police Department Chief Scott and Assistant Chief Lazar for coming out to support the event — your presence meant so much to the kids and families.
And a special shoutout to the incredible San Francisco Police Department officers, Cadets, SFPD Alert team, volunteers, and sponsors who made it all happen:
Wipeout Bar & Grill, The Olympic Club Foundation, The Police Credit Union, A Runner’s Mind, Kaiser Permanente, and Target — thank you for investing in our youth and helping us create lifelong memories.

Days like today remind us of the power of community and the joy of coming together. You can find pictures of the event here. We also have a short clip to relive some of the excitement of the day. Enjoy!

Annual Winter Wonderland 2023 in Partnership with Boston Properties
On Thursday, December 21st, SFPAL, in partnership with Boston Properties, hosted its annual Winter Wonderland Event at the Yerba Buena Ice Skating Center. More than 200 students from Gordon Lau Elementary School, Longfellow Elementary School, Visitacion Valley Middle School, and Washington High School attended the 2023 Winter Wonderland. The ice rink-style layout provided ample space for many first-timers to test their skills and confidence. During the event, we witnessed friendly competitions between classmates, lots of wipeouts, and lots of fun. All attendees received an SFPAL Winter Wonderland T-shirt. The event was catered with delicious tacos, quesadillas, and a nachos buffet. Boudin Bakery provided coffee and beautifully decorated gingerbread cookies. Santa Claus, also known as retired Sergeant Todd Burke, made an appearance to spread the holiday spirit. We want to extend our gratitude to all of the uniformed supervisors and officers who helped out at this year’s event, including Commander Pera, SFPAL President Lieutenant Matt Sullivan, retired Sergeant Kruger, Officer Costello, Officer Sweeney, Officer William Ma, and Officer Mondragon. We also appreciate the SFPD Alert volunteers and the official photographer, Milo Medrano. We would like to thank retired Chief Suhr, Bob Pester, and their staff, from Boston Properties, for their continued support and dedication to serving the community year after year.
