We are thrilled to announce the launch of our new recreational judo program, specifically designed for kids in the Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco. This initiative offers more than just an opportunity to learn a martial art; it allows children to develop confidence, discipline, and resilience in a supportive and inclusive environment. By introducing the principles of judo—such as respect, perseverance, and mutual aid—we aim to cultivate physical skills, personal growth, and a sense of community among young participants. Join us in empowering the next generation with the values and strength to thrive on and off the mat.
Starting Wednesday, October 9 at 5:00pm in the Tenderloin Police Station Community Room.
Judo is a contact and physical sport. Throwing and joint locks are all part of the sport. While under the instructor’s guidance, youngsters advance in belt degrees as they master the techniques of Judo and increase their skill and love of the sport.
