Sandlot Program

Remember those impromptu pick-up games at your local playground? We do! In fact, that’s the idea behind SF PAL’s new Sandlot Program wherein Kids and Cops come together in a fun and healthy environment! Officers will be provided with sporting gear and will be able to arrive at a park or schoolyard and round-up local youngsters for an on-the-spot pick-up baseball, soccer or basketball game! Sound like fun? Just take a look at these photos taken at a recent soccer match at Garfield Park between officers from the Mission Station and neighborhood kids. By the way, the final score was Kids 3, Cops 2. Way to go kids!
