Judo
In the 38 years since Officer Joe Mollo founded
the SFPAL Judo Program many local and regional judo champions
have emerged. Our current Head Instructor, 5th degree black
belt Bill Wong has lead 3 outstanding judo students who
have taken state and national championships including 1st
place in the USJF Jr. Judo National Championship and 1st
place in the National Judo College Championship.
Our Judo Alumni have gone on to do many interesting things with their lives including one young woman who was with our program for more than 5 years who now works for the FBI – Federal Bureau of Investigations.
Our Judo program like all of our other programs in SFPAL
is designed to allow all kids to participated. Your yearly
fee includes membership in to the United States Judo Federation. We
keep costs to a minimum and offer three classes per week.
Judo is a contact and physical sport. Touching, flipping
and throwing are all part of the sport. While under Instructor
Wong’s guidance, you will advance in belt degrees
as you learn to master the techniques of Judo and increase
your skill and love of the sport.
