Individual giving from generous donors is the cornerstone of our organization. We could not do it without you! Through your support, we take pride in keeping our program fees as low as possible to ensure that as many kids in San Francisco have access to SFPAL programs. SFPAL charges participants 50% or less of the actual program operating cost and funds a scholarship program for those who cannot pay the minimal fee.
Thanks to you, all interested children are able to participate in SFPAL programs regardless of their ability to pay. Here’s how you can help:
- Make a cash donation
- Be a corporate sponsor
- Donate tickets to sports or entertainment events
- Donate equipment or uniforms
- Donate your car
- Make a bequest
- Volunteer your time and talents to coach or assist in sports
Our nonprofit tax ID # is 94-6106198.
Advisory: We do not call
The San Francisco Police Activities League does not call to ask for your money. Direct mail is our only method of solicitation for donations. Many groups represent themselves as SFPAL and make telephone calls to San Francisco residents asking for donations. Please be advised — your donations to these outfits will not benefit SFPAL programs or our San Francisco kids. Some of these solicitors can be quite aggressive. Don’t let them bully you and make you feel threatened. Simply hang up the phone and feel free to call us.
How to make a cash donation:
You can do this by writing a check or money order and mailing it to us. Please make it payable to SFPAL. Mail to:
San Francisco Police Activities League
c/o San Francisco Police Academy
350 Amber Drive, Room 203
San Francisco, California 94131
You can also donate online.
It’s secure, easy, and takes only a minute to complete.
How to leave a bequest:
All of us have the power to make a difference. One way is to include the San Francisco Police Activities League in your will and/or estate plans. You can leave a legacy to SFPAL in a variety of ways, including the following:
- Charitable Remainder Trust
- Charitable Lead Trust
- Life Insurance
- Retirement Plan Assets
To make a gift or to understand how this would benefit you, please call the SFPAL office at 415.401.4666.
How to donate a car:
Donate your car, boat or RV to benefit SF youth! You get a tax break for the full fair market value – and the satisfaction of helping at-risk youth.
